Abstract
Apodizing holographic gratings are studied using Boundary Integral Method (BIM). Such integrals are solved by using Boundary Element Method (BEM). Profile shape of diffracted beams of different orders and diffraction efficiency in normal and Littrow configurations have been obtained employing this method. It is shown that diffracted beams of +1 and â1 orders have smooth profile shapes. Zero-order beam is affected by ripples, which can be decreased by limiting the width of incident beam.
