Abstract

The proposed approach allows formulation formulating a self-consistent problem that includes an equation, describing rotor dynamics, and an equation, describing the damage to the material of the rotor. It is shown that the damage to the material causes frequency-dependent attenuation and phase speed dispersion of elastic torsion waves, which allows for the acoustic assessment of the damage. The applied field of deformations, in turn, leads to damage accumulation. The resulting kinetic equation shows that the increase in damage has exponential character. System parameters have been assessed, which makes it possible to consider the accumulation of damage linearly in time.
