Abstract
Among metal substrates commonly used in dental work, Ni-Cr alloy was most toxic, followed by Co-Cr and Ag-Pd alloys. Ti and Au-Pd alloys showed good biocompatibility and are therefore the most suitable materials for clinical applications.
