Abstract
There is upregulation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in the heart of ovariectomized apolipoprotein deficient mouse, characterized by the enhancement of the renin, angiotensin 2 receptor type 1 (AT1r) and the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). On the contrary, there is downregulation of AT2r, ACE2 and MAS receptor in the heart of these animals.217
