Welding characteristics has been currently studied according different methods. It generates non-homogeneity of the trials and different ways to develop welds. Academic field experiments don’t follow the same methods and parameters than industrial experiments, because of that results could be extrapolated but without guarantee of success. The regulation is widely used in the industry, but not in academic fields. The main objective of this work is to define a guideline for a comparative testing of different welding technologies and materials according to the regulations. Comparisons between this method and other studies show important differences in the parameters and qualifications of the welds. Using this method is guaranteed export results in the academic field but also in industry.
