Abstract
Fracture surface of specimens from titanium alloy V-22 covered with dimples of ductile failure is analysed quantitatively, based on processing digital images obtained from the scanning microscope. The shape of defects was assessed by the results of digital recognition, and their morphological features are analyzed. It is proved that the proposed methods take into account the spatial morphology of fracture and allow assessing the divergence of dimples from the rounded shape.
