Abstract
We present the Pulsoconn, invented by Dr. Macaura, a vibratory massage device that was a great success in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Few historical works are interested in the inventor and the description of his apparatus. We had to content ourselves with French, Irish, English, Belgian and Australian newspapers, which often broadcast a stereotypical article inspired by Macaura himself to invite to his public meetings. Only the Espacenet database, which lists patents all over the world has given us unbiased information.
