Abstract
Filteringthe suspensionina porous soilis important forlong-term evaluation of soil strengthin the construction ofundergroundand hydrotechnical structures. Asize-exclusion model of solidparticle capture for a flow ofsuspension in a porousmedia is considered: particlespass freelythrough the largeporesand get stuck atthe inlet of small pores whose diameteris less thanthe particle size. The asymptotic solutionforthe concentrations of suspended and retained particlesis constructed under the assumption thatthe limitdeposit is small.
