Abstract
Clinical diagnosis of disturbances in the inguinal region is a complex matter. Examining the area for local causes of pain or discomfort should preceed holistic thought processes of trying to find underlying mechanisms. In this article, typical issues causing problems in the inguinal region and relevant clinical diagnostic procedures are explored. Additionally, pain following hernia operations is being discussed and treatment approaches are suggested.
