Abstract
The working thesis with respect to the treatment model is that in order to to treat his patients in a holistic way a therapist has to work with the patient's body-soul-embodiment. By being invited to an active participation in the healing process, the patient can access his inherent potentials (of self-regulation) by perceiving bodily reactions, thus finding access to his inner and authentic possibilities of selfregulation. The therapist enables the patient to find his own way of resolving and modulates via his own adequate and resonant reactions the level of arousal in the autonomic nervous system of his patient. Thus the outcome of an osteopathic treatment will increase in efficacy.
