Abstract

A linear cascade has been geometrically scaled according to the similarity theory,aseries of three dimensional numerical simulationsare conducted on these geometric similarcascades withthe CFD software.The differences of the aerodynamic performance betweenthe original and the scaled linear cascades are investigated in details.The result showsthatwith the increasing of linear cascade size,the shapefactor decreases at the same relative arc length position and the locationof separation point moves towards trailing edge,resultinginthe total pressure loss coefficient decreasesand the static pressureraises coefficient increases.
