Abstract
Calibration of computer models for water distribution system (WDS) analysis is an essential step in the model building to have an useful tool for management. Besides the choice of the method, results of calibration depend on the type and the number of data and the sensor location. Furthermore, the initial stages of model assembling are fundamentals for calibration. This paper presents the implementation and calibration of the WDS model for the town of Chiaravalle, in Central Italy. A campaign of pressure measurements was executed and different operating conditions were considered to find an unrecognised leak occurred during the measurement period.
