Sensor Placement in Water Distribution Systems Using the S-PLACE Toolkit

This work presents a new software, the Sensor Placement (S-PLACE) Toolkit, for computing at which locations to install contam- inant sensors in water distribution systems to reduce the impact risks. The S-PLACE Toolkit has been designed to be user-friendly, suitable for both the professional and the research community, programmed in Matlab utilizing the EPANET software library, with a modular software architecture to make it extensible. The use of the software is illustrated using benchmark networks which capture different types of real network topologies.
