An approach integrating one way fluid structure interaction and probabilistic risk assessment is developed to evaluate the effect of cavity on the risk of engine life limited parts, by which the effect of the variation of structure parameters in the cavity on the safety of gas turbine disks is investigated. The results indicate that the structure parameters affect the failure risk of the disk with initial anomalies since they changes the distribution of the stress and temperature of the disk. It demonstrate that engine is a system which functional connection with other subsystems, especially life limited parts. In addition, a sensitivity analysis is conducted to determine the sensitivities of the safety with respect to structure parameters.
