Abstract
Is the low vision's care of an impaired patient linked to a decreased visual acuity? The case of Mrs D. show us that the orthoptic analysis of our patient's functional complaints should be based on severals levels: 1/to overcome the immediate difficulties encountered; 2/to plan to the visual futur from the perspective of the patient. The orthopic, who's appropriately formed to the development of ophtalmology disorders, knows that the futur will bring functional difficulties. In this way the orthoptic will early begin the care of the patient and will adapt in time and space this care depending on the disease evolution. This case will also proceed in several steps and during many years: 2008-2011 - 2015-2017.
