Abstract
Behind our hyper-connected lifestyles is a strong visual demand, which is regularly reflected in what we call “visual fatigue”: red eye, blurred vision, headaches, tearfull eye, painâ¦If it is essential to wear a pair of glasses from a good refraction, it is essential to wear spectacles lenses of design suitable for situations where our eyes are overly stressed. For the non-presbyopic people, some new pseudo-progressive lenses appear to relieve the accommodative effort. For presbyopia, proximity lenses have expanded the intermediate field of view to make the computer vision comfortable. What are the technical realities of these lenses? On what physiological concepts are they based? For whom they are needed? How to prescribe them? So many questions that we will try to answer.
