Abstract
Surgical planning softwares do not check implant loading conditions in native bone, at the time of planning. The aim of this study is to simulate, prior to implantation surgery, one natural masticatory cycle and perform fmite element analysis to study the stress distribution in patient's mandible, implant and abutment and also assess three different scenarios with varying implant placement angles (0°, 1°, and 2° tilts). Based on the cervical stress profile in the cortical bone, implant placement angle with 1o tilt was selected for surgery. This best implant position was then transferred to the surgery planning software for further planning and surgery.
