Abstract
Based on physical knowledge and reached experimental results in the contribution are presented and analyzed material models for crash test simulations at frontal and lateral impact. Experiments were done using following steel quality: hot deep galvanized extra deep drawing quality steel sheet, hot deep galvanized microalloyed steel sheet, hot deep galvanized TRIP steel sheet, austenitic and duplex stainless steels. Mechanical properties of steel sheets depend on hardening mechanism. Workhardening has greater effect than strain rate to change of mechanical properties. Workhardening and strainhardening showed more significant at austenitic and TRIP steels than at single phase steels (microalloyed and drawing quality).
