Abstract

This paper focuses on main principles of high speed imaging used for motion analysis of microscopic biomechanical objects represented by cilia of respiratory apparatus epithelium. Frequency based analysis (FFT and its derivates) is used for searching regions with dominant movement which brings more objectivity for acquired videosequences analysis and segmentation. 3D image information (videosequence) is projected to 2D frequency maps for evaluation. Paper brings basic mathematical apparatus and elementary approaches how to solve this tasks. Results of experiments are successfully built-in to medical and pharmacological research.
