Abstract
The World Health Organisation (WHO) classification of uterine carcinoma is important to know. It divides these tumours into six categories: epithelial tumours, mesenchymal tumours, mixed tumours, lymphoid tumours and secondary tumours. Endometrial carcinoma remains the most common tumour. The locoregional extension assessment of endometrial carcinoma is performed by MRI and must give precise information to surgeons and clinicians to define the therapeutic strategy and in particular to evaluate the risk of lymphatic invasion and the possibility of lymphatic dissection.
