Abstract
Mode decision method plays an important role in multiview video coding for improving the coding efficiency. In this paper, an efficient inter mode decision method based on inter-frame modes statistical analysis is presented. By utilizing the correlation factor, the inter 8 × 8 mode is early skipped. The proposed algorithm can achieve a large reduce of the computational complexity with negligible loss of PSNR. Experimental results show the validity of our algorithm.
