Abstract
Implementation of PBM criteria in CVS patients significantly reduced FFP and PLT consumption, while increasing blood components stock, usually scarce, in other patients. The PBM implementation meant a potential cost reduction and legal contingencies. Greater efforts will be necessary to reduce RBC consumption.
