Abstract
This study shows that intraoperative RV s' velocity was a good predictor of length of intensive care unit stay (PÂ <Â .05) and length of hospitalization (PÂ <Â .01). Having a clinical predictor that is easily obtainable, non-invasive and readily available can be useful, so a non-invasive assessment of RV function can be important to identify potential higher risk patients with bad RV function undergoing non-cardiac surgery.
