Abstract

In order to reduce and avoid traffic jam or secondary accidents caused by traffic accidents, a finite element model of traffic flow is established using weighted residual method based on the fluid dynamics theory of traffic flow. An accident section is simulated by ANSYS-FLOTRAN, and the traffic flow parameters are analyzed, which is significant for the traffic management after the accident.
