Abstract
- We studied postprandial skin MVR in recently diagnosed T2DM patients.
- Insulin, and not glucose, was associated with changes in MVR after the meal.
- Insulin action was impaired in endothelium-dependent vasodilation.
- Impaired insulin-mediated vasodilation may contribute to complications.
- Insulin sensitising drugs may have beneficial effects on the vasculature.
