Abstract
The development of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements of aircraft engine emission is reviewed in this paper with special focus on the influence on commercial aircraft engine combustor design. As the reason of NOX emission as the primary critical issues for combustion organization scheme during the combustor R&D, the development status of several classical low emission combustors in the word is referred in this paper. Based on the current technology and the future certification standards, the design perspective of the Chinese next generation low emission commercial aircraft engine combustor is also discussed in this paper.
