Abstract
- Aquaporin-4 (AQP4) IgG antibodies has helped distinguish Neuromyelitis Optica as a spectrum of disorders distinct from Multiple Sclerosis.
- Co-occurrence of Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome (PRES) and NMOSD may be due to water channel damage (due to AQP4 IgG Ab) and resultant fluid shift and vasogenic edema.
