Abstract
Depression symptoms presumably disrupted the RAAS through activation of the sympathetic and adrenocorticotrophic pathways and facilitated blood pressure elevation and renal dysfunction. To maintain homeostasis, RAAS desensitization may suppress renin secretion and result in low-renin hypertension.109
