Abstract
Staged ventricular recruitment via ASD restriction without VSD closure is associated with growth of the hypoplastic ventricle. In patients who are deemed high-risk for single ventricle, this approach might facilitate eventual biventricular conversion. Further studies are needed to identify optimal candidates for this approach.
