Abstract
- Cardiac function is assessed by echocardiography in Gestational Hypertension, preeclampsia and normal pregnancy.
- Cardiac dysfunction is present in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and it is more in severe preeclampsia.
- We suggest that cardiac evaluation should be introduced as a component in diagnosis in the guidelines.
- Relation of control of hypertension and cardiac dysfunction has to be further studied.
