- Oligomeric Proantho Cyanidins (OPC) has a strong antioxidant capacity due to the scavenging of free radicals.
- OPC can significantly alleviates oxidative stress injury, brain edema, apoptosis and inflammation after SAH.
- The effects of anti-inflammation and anti-apoptotic of OPC maybe depend on its anti-oxidant capacity.
- OPC may be a potential therapeutic agent for early brain injury (EBI) after SAH.
