Abstract
Spinal epidural hematoma is a rare neurological entity. It presents clinically with sudden spinal pain and spinal cord compression, and is a neurosurgical emergency. We describe the clinical case of a 60-year-old woman who presented with acute left brachial plegia. The neck MRI showed a posterior epidural collection, between the third and sixth cervical vertebrae. A conservative treatment was chosen. Twenty-four hours after the onset of symptoms, the patient presented a spontaneous improvement of the neurological impairment, with full recovery on the fifth day.
