Abstract
The study included a total of 105 patients, with a mean age of 59 +/- 12 years old. The majority (69%) were women, and 97% were right-handed. The right shoulder was affected in 53%. Time from onset was 8.1 +/- 6.6 months. Previous trauma was reported in27%. Positive manoeuvres: Jobe: 88%, Yocum: 87%, Speed: 74%. Pain in SIS is most frequently reported in TMT of the large intestine (54%), and lung (25%). IG15 and Taijian were the most common pain points. There was no correlation between the ultrasound diagnosis and the ACP / TMT points studied. Point IG15 was a very sensitive, but not very specific point. Therefore, the presence of pain in IG15 implies the existence of subacromial pathology, but does not discriminate between them. No relationship has been found between the western exploratory manoeuvres with these points of the ACP and with the TMT.
