Abstract
Verbascum, often a little-known medicine, is studied here on the basis of its original pathogenesis, created almost two centuries ago by Hahnemann and his pupils. A distinction can be made between pathogenetic symptoms and cured clinical symptoms. The different pathogenetic symptoms are described then ordered and quantified according to their tropism for the different parts of the body, which points towards the medicine's truly homeopathic indications. A differential diagnosis is made with the medicines of trigeminal neuralgia in relation to the characteristics of that of Verbascum which is a remedy commonly used for this condition. The symptoms of Verbascum are then studied according to the chronology of their appearance in each of the experimenters to attempt, following on from Benoît Mure, to extract a general kinetic aspect of Verbascum to draw a parallel with the progress over time of patients' symptomatology.
