Abstract
We shall discuss the various reasons for an aggravation of the patient's condition during a homeopathic treatment. These are explained by Hahnemann in the various editions of the Organon: the counter-disease due to the over strong - but effective - action of the right medicine, the secondary suffering due to an incomplete medicine, a misuse or repeat of medication, the implementation of a local treatment without addressing the general internal disease, the barriers to treatment by an inappropriate lifestyle.
