Abstract
The scientific and technical information in health produced in a region, brings benefits in making decisions based on knowledge, offers the possibility of creating strategies and methodologies for the welfare of the community and health development. Producers and intermediaries health information in Colombia, they need familiar and join strategies that provide promotion and development of their scientific production, joint work to expand the possibilities and benefit information users. The Virtual Health Library is a strategy that promotes open access, refereed, equitable and quality information; It formed as a network of collaboration between producers, intermediaries and users, it is constituted as a strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean, a leading scientific management system health information in each country.
