Abstract
Coding medical records data is a key factor for an optimal use of software dedicated to physicians. Now, coding tools provided to physicians are rarely used because of ergonomics problems making their use arduous. Applying the User Centered Design approach to the development of this kind of tools may enable to improve their ergonomics features and ultimately increase their use. The present study describes a method to integrate end-users very early in the design process in order to identify their needs and to co-design initial mock-ups.
