Abstract
The field of MR imaging has progressively grown from morphological imaging to physiological imaging and finally to interventional imaging. In fact, MRI is an imaging modality well adapted to the interventional practice, it is not only due to its high contrast to soft tissues and to the absence of ionizing radiations but also extensively benefited, as all minimally invasive therapies, of the progress of informatics, of electronics and of robotics. This review discusses the different innovations made in recent years. Different aspects are discussed, systems designs, devices tracking, pulse sequences, applications, each of them is followed by recent references in order to go into details.
