Abstract
Saccharides are involved in numerous physiological biological and pathological mechanisms. Understanding the whole saccharides/proteins interactions, saccharides/saccharides and saccharides/DNA (named glycomic) is a key step for both fundamental research and for the development of new therapeutics. Advances in glycobiology have suffered from the large diversity of sugar chains and there are so few amounts available. Taking advantage of the overall progress in DNA biochips technology, oligosaccharide biochips are powerful tools for high-throughput screening.
