Abstract
Following the terrorist attacks of November 2015 in Paris, the concept of “damage control” imposed itself on the care of civilian victims wounded by military weapons. This concept favors rapid surgical hemostasis and prevents the vicious circle hypotension-hypothermia-acidosis. To assimilate this rapidity to the classical “scoop and run” of the 1970s is an error that can have serious consequences. The “damage control” is a care path that requires from the pre-hospital phase, a triage, a medical regulation and specialized care.
