Abstract
Increased prevalence of ATA IL10 promoter haplotypes and subsequently reduced IL-10 expression may be an immunological cofactor in individuals genetically predisposed for the development of CD. Resulting cytokine imbalances may be utilized as disease biomarkers in CD.
