Six years' experience of tolerance induction in renal transplantation using stem cell therapy

Stem cell therapy has successfully sustained tolerance for 6 years in living related renal transplantation. Over mean 6 ± 0.37 year follow-up patient survival is 80% and death-censored graft survival is 90%. Mean Serum creatinine (SCr) is 1.44 ± 0.41 mg/dL. Five patients are on no conventional immunosuppression and 2 on low dose Prednisone (P) and Mycofenolate (M).330
