Abstract
The aim of the current longitudinal registry was to offer an overview of the care pro-vided to people with type 2 diabetes in France, with a special focus on injectable treatments. The aim was also to determine the respective roles of hospital-employed and self-employed physicians, the roles of specialists and primary care practitioners, in initiation and modification of the injectable drugs. The analysis was based on the recording of diabetes drug deliveries from a representative panel of 7100 pharmacies, scattered in 21 administrative regions in continental France, between December 2014 and November 2015.
