Abstract
Bariatric surgery seems to decrease incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) on obese women, although “How to define, to screen and to manage GDM?” is still an open question, for which the literature does not allow to answer yet with a high level of evidence. Considering the risk (for the mothers and their babies) of exposure to abnormal glycemic values, we suggest in this paper a pragmatic strategy to screen women for GDM after bariatric surgery.
