Abstract
Facing a huge increase in the prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and the growing request for consultations, we have implemented in our department of diabetology an optimizing process. It is based on the establishment of three inseparable and complementary components: an ambulatory education program for patients, a proposal for telemonitoring, and a protocol of cooperation between health professionals. This approach, implemented in 2014, seems a very interesting solution acclaimed both by the patients and the corresponding health professionals, and within the team itself, as evidenced by the steady increase in the number of patients addressed.
