Increase in female faculty in American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy-sponsored programming over time

We found an increase in female participation in ASGE programming over time, suggesting that specialty societies are making efforts to improve female representation at the national level. Future work should evaluate whether or not these opportunities translate into leadership roles for women within their own institutions or lead to promotions for women over time.
