Abstract
Vitamin B12 deficiency remains a frequent biological abnormality in the elderly. Its clinical repercussions and its various aetiologies are a real challenge for the geriatrician. Indeed, diagnosis is often difficult because the clinical and biological symptom profile is very often sketchy and non-specific, especially in the elderly. Oral intake is an attractive alternative to treat vitamin B12 deficiency in this population.
