Abstract
Tumors in children are common. Imaging plays a major role at diagnosis, during the pretherapeutic evaluation and during the follow-up. According to the As Low as reasonably achievable principle, non-ionizing imaging modalities should be chosen. We provide some information about the variability in daily practices, the results of mean cumulative effective doses and practical recommendations to limit the radiation exposure in this vulnerable population.
