Abstract
Being identified as HLA compatible with a sick brother or sister induces the proposal to become sibling donor. However, below the age of 18Â years, it could be very difficult to act as voluntary donor. For physicians, it is not so usual to interact with safe children. Which kind of systematic questions have to be asked? Which kinds of discussion and explanations have to be provided in order to give a real choice to the young donor? Some answers come from laws. Others disserve to be actively debated. We try to describe here the results of more than ten years of experience in this field.
