Abstract
A reduced proliferative capacity of PSC from aged UCP2â/â mice may contribute to the retarded regeneration after acute pancreatitis. Apart from their slower growth, PSC of UCP2â/â mice displayed no functional abnormalities. The antifibrotic potential of UCP2 inhibitors deserves further attention.
